I used to recite the phrases to  myself  verbally in varying  Arabic  terms when  I embarked on the reflection.

    On üç seneden beri kalbim, aklım ile imtizaç edip Kur’an-ı Mu’cizü’l-Beyan’ın لَعَلَّكُم۟ تَتَفَكَّرُونَ ۝ لَعَلَّهُم۟ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ۝ اَوَلَم۟ يَتَفَكَّرُوا فٖٓى اَن۟فُسِهِم۟ مَا خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَ ال۟اَر۟ضَ ۝ لَاٰيَاتٍ لِقَو۟مٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ gibi âyetler ile emrettiği tefekkür mesleğine teşvik ettiği ve تَفَكُّرُ سَاعَةٍ خَي۟رٌ مِن۟ عِبَادَةِ سَنَةٍ hadîs-i şerifi bazen bir saat tefekkür bir sene ibadet hükmünde olduğunu beyan edip, tefekküre azîm teşvikat yaptığı cihetle, ben de bu on üç seneden beri meslek-i tefekkürde akıl ve kalbime tezahür eden büyük nurları ve uzun hakikatleri kendime muhafaza etmek için işarat nevinden bazı kelimatı o envara delâlet etmek için değil belki vücudlarına işaret ve tefekkürü teshil ve intizamı muhafaza için vaz’ettim. Gayet muhtelif Arabî ibarelerle kendi kendime o tefekkürde gittiğim zaman, o kelimatı lisanen zikrediyordum.
